Michael is a composer, multi-instrumentalist and educator with a Bachelors of Music in music composition from Chapman University and Masters of Music
in music composition from the University of Oregon. He is currently a doctoral candidate for the DMA program in music composition at UC Santa Cruz.

If you are between age 8 up to an adult, I am interested in helping you to foster a love of music!

I am able to teach piano and violin to beginning, intermediate, and early advanced level players with various paths of style and focus.

Composition lessons can include beginning engraving with Musescore or Sibelius. I would be best for early intermediate composers.

I am able to tutor various topics related to music theory and ear training to people with a range of understanding from someone brand new to music to someone in grad school.

Price does not include books, and I will travel to you when possible (travel fee will apply)!
